Honeymoon Holiday

This year during the holiday season, my husband and I,
planned a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The beaches are gorgeous and we had the most relaxing and wonderful time!

On one of the last days of our trip we planned an excursion to go outside the resort.
We rode what they call "buggies" to the famous Macao Beach
and throughout the jungle and villages of this tiny country.
The buggies got really muddy and we were instructed to wear
bandanas over our mouths and noses to protect us from all the dust and dirt
that the buggies would spin out at us.
Made me feel super gangsta.

Macao Beach is a beautiful blue beach where the locals go surfing
and hang out, away from all the tourists.
The untouched beach was breath taking and I would
strongly recommend a visit if you're ever in the area.

Before the trip I found this bikini top at Target for only $17.99 !!!
I love finding inexpensive pieces that resemble higher price points.
This Target bikini reminds me of the Triangl Swimwear bikinis without the cost of one.
Target under-ratedly has amazing swimwear especially around holiday time!

Boot Season

Jacket: BCBG Maxazria / Sweater: Bloomingdale's / Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch
Boots: Stuart Wetizman / Fur Cuffs: Eugenia Kim / Bag: Gucci

Boot season is finally upon us !
The only thing I enjoy about the weather changing is that I can wear boots (and fur).
The fall brings a wardrobe change though, and that's pretty exciting.
I am definitely a summer girl- I love hot weather, sandals, and the beach.

My go-to outfit for fall and winter (just like every true New Yorker) is all black errything.
Today, I broke up the all black with a pair of jeans I got from A&F, bc pairing
these boots with a dark colored pant would camouflage how amazing they are.
These black Stuart Weitzman boots are definitely a staple piece for my fall and winter wardrobe.
And you will be seeing a lot more of them :)

I got these Eugenia Kim fingerless rabbit fur gloves last winter and they've been my
go-to gloves for when my hands are cold.
Today the weather wasn't too bad so I decided to wear them as cuffs to spice up my jacket.
I pulled them over the sleeve to make them look like they are apart of the jacket.
I kept my accessories very minimal with a small Hamsa chain and my black leather Gucci bag.

I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch

Fur Vest: Zara / Sweater: TopShop / Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch /
Bag: Chanel / Shoes: Isabel Marant / Sunnies: Ray-Ban

When writing this blog the song "Summer Girls" by LFO comes to mind.
The reason I say this is because I bought these jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch,
and the memorable line from this song was
"I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch".
For those who are unfamiliar with this song, here is the link:

I am personally obsessed with these distressed jeans- and the best part about them?
I scored them for $39 !
Abercrombie & Fitch is known for their clean cut and preppy clothing.
The clothing in their store is great quality and I am loving the fit of these jeans.
Because the wash of the jeans are light, I paired them with a white Topshop sweater
and winter white Isabel Marant calf hair and suede booties.

Burgundy Leather

Shoes: Charlotte Olympia / Bag: Vintage Chanel / Sunnies: Ray-Ban

Leather pants are a staple for fall and winter in New York City.
They keep your legs nice and warm and you look stylish at the same time.
I bought these 7 For All Mankind leather 'crackle' jeans and I am obsessed!

Firstly I have to tell you, in person I cannot tell what color these jeans are.
When I first got them I was confused because I could swear to you that
they are purple (a red wine type of purple) and not burgundy.
But in photographs these jeans look exactly how I envisioned them.

To style these jeans I started with the shoes (duh!).
I chose my light pink Charlotte Olympia platforms, because I didn't want to go with basic black.
I personally feel that light colors, such as white or grey, complement the burgundy color of these pants.
To match the light pink shoes I chose a light pink sweater that I bought from Urban Outfitters.
I love the whole matchy-matchy vibe in a minimal way.
Because there is a purple tone in the burgundy the light pink (mis)matches really well.

Black and Blue

Sweater: Forever21  / Coat: Forever21 / Jeans: J Brand
Bag: Chanel / Pumps: Manolo Blahnik / Sunnies: Ray-Ban

New York is in it's last days of warm(ish) weather.
In the fall, New Yorkers cherish everyday of warm weather like it could be there last..
..at least until Spring.
I love the transitioning period between summer and winter because I can still
wear cute outfits without worrying about staying warm.
Today, as a #SundayFunday activity, me and my husband spent the day
at Gantry State Park in Queens, NY.
The park has an incredible view overlooking the NYC midtown skyline.

My fall and winter wardrobe is all black errything'.
Today, I chose to break up my all black outfit with some electric blue.
I recently bought this sweater from Forever21 and paired it with my fave pair of ripped jeans.
I love mixing high and low price points, I feel it keeps outfits interesting
when you can make something cheap look expensive.

Wedding "Shoes"

My husband and I just got married this past September 18th!
I am a huge shoe person and anyone who knows me
knows that I am very particular about which shoes I purchase and wear.

For my wedding I decided on the light pink, Charlotte Olympia 'Dolly' shoes.
To me they are whimsical and fun - and I thought they matched my personal style,
plus I can wear them again with jeans :)
The shoes come with a detachable ankle strap that resembles a pastel candy bracelet.
You kind of want to just take a bite out of it.

Although I purchased these for the wedding,
I knew for photo shooting and dancing- I would die wearing these all day.
I'm pretty sure my feet would have gone numb. I decided that I needed to buy a pair of sneakers.
My wedding dress was very long and fluffy at the bottom, so I knew a pair of flat sneakers would not do the trick. Plus, in a long dress who can really see your shoes?

I found these amazing platform sneakers on DollsKill.com that were literally the answer to my problem.
They made me tall enough so it gave the illusion of heels and they were also so comfortable- I was able to run around all day taking pictures and I was dancing all night longggg.

For any bride-to-be,
I am HIGHLY recommending these sneakers.
They were only $95 - and are literally one of the best purchases I've made!

Finally Perfect Leather Jeans!

All of my close friends can tell you that I've been on
'the hunt
for the perfect pair of faux leather jeans for years now!

Usually the issue with faux leather jeans (for me) is the fit.
They're either too tight on my waist and loose on my legs
or too loose on my waist and tight on my legs.
(Either way, it's a problem)

I was browsing Net-A-Porter.com last week, and came across
what I thought to be the perfect pair of faux leather jeans.
I immediately ordered them, and could not be happier with the result!

The jeans I purchased are J Brand and they are called
I wore my new leather jeans for the first time today,
paired with a white moto vest and tee for a 'Biker Chic' look.

Faux Leather jeans are the perfect transitional piece
to go from Summer into Fall flawlessly.
